CONDUCTORS HENRY KAO   HENRY KAO, violist and violinist, has been a member of the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra since 1991. He held the positions of Principal Viola and Principal Second Violin in the New York City Opera National Company, and also Principal Viola in several Broadway shows.  As a soloist and chamber musician he has performed often in the NY/NJ metro area.  Mr. Kao's educational pursuits include being the founding Conductor of the Greater Newark Chamber Orchestra, coaching chamber music, and maintaining a private teaching studio.  He obtained his Bachelors and Masters degrees from the Manhattan School of Music, studying with the legendary violinist Raphael Bronstein; and was awarded the Professional Diploma by Mannes College of Music, where he mentored with violist Sol Greitzer.       New Jersey Symphony Orchestra · 60 Park Place, 9th Floor, Newark, NJ 07102 · Telephone 973.624.3713 · Fax 973.624.2115
