MAKE A DIFFERENCE
There are many ways to make a meaningful contribution as an NJSO Ambassador. At least one is bound to be the perfect match for your interests, skills and schedule. Following are our current Ambassador projects:

Encourage people to experience the NJSO
• BRING A FRIEND TO A CONCERT: What’s the best way to grow our audience? Simply invite them! As an Ambassador, you’ll receive up to 10 complimentary tickets to bring someone new to the NJSO, and you'll have the opportunity to earn tickets for yourself. (click here for more information)

• BRING A GROUP TO A CONCERT: Have a few more friends? Bring them all! Ambassadors organize group trips to performances with discounted tickets and work with our staff to coordinate add-ons that will make your event extra special—including a pre- or post-concert reception, backstage tour and meet-and-greet visits with NJSO musicians. Build relationships with our patrons
• WELCOME NEWCOMERS: Help make our patrons’ experience with the NJSO a special one that will keep them coming back. Our welcome program includes opportunities for you to:
    - BE A CONCERT-HALL GREETER — Mix and mingle in the lobby and at receptions, welcome concert

goers, meet groups arriving by bus and make patrons feel comfortable.

    - CALL first-time ticket buyers, new subscribers and new donors to thank them for their support.

Raise funds to support music education
• ART STRINGS RAFFLE: Art Strings is a fundraising raffle featuring violins decorated by local artists. Ambassadors display the violins at concert halls and other venues, and they sell raffle tickets for a chance to win one of these works of art. (click here for more information)

Promote the NJSO in your community

• DISTRIBUTE PROMOTIONAL MATERIAL: Distribute brochures and flyers in your community to promote upcoming NJSO performances. There may also be opportunities to staff information tables at local fairs and conferences.

• PROMOTE EVENTS LOCALLY - Get the word out to your community and to other organizations you are involved with to promote NJSO concerts and events through newspapers, newsletters, mailings, web sites, blogs, e-mail lists, etc.

Use your skills to provide administrative support
• GENERAL OFFICE SUPPORT: There are many projects available if you have office skills, including filing, data entry, assisting with mailings and organizing archival material.
